First, let's verify what version of ESET you have by opening ESET. There are multiple ways to do this.Method 1: Click the Start button, typically found at the lower left corner of the screen, from the list of programs in alphabetical order, locate ESET from the list of applications and click on it to open the ESET folder. From here, click on ESET Security. Method 2:Go to the hidden icons in the lower right hand corner of the task bar. Click on the ESET icon. Once the ESET program window is open, note the product version (1) at the top left. You will also see your license validity at the bottom of the screen (2).NOTE: If you renew ESET prior to expiration, it will extend on to your existing license's time remaining. If there is an option for it, you can click on "Renew License" on the Home screen of ESET. Otherwise, visit https://www.microcenter.com/site/stores/eset-renew.aspx to start the renewal process.On this renewal page, click on Windows to start the renewal of ESET for your Windows PC! You will select which version of ESET you want to purchase. I recommend checking the chart at https://www.eset.com/us/home/for-windows/ to see the difference with ESET to make an informed decision on which version you want. If you would like to renew what you already have, refer back to the product version shown at the top of the ESET program installed on your PC. Click Add to Cart on the amount of years & devices you are looking to cover. Follow through the steps for checkout. Now that you have purchased the ESET renewal, you will need to activate the new license. You will get an email from Micro Center that will have a license key as shown in the picture below. Copy the license key. This should be a key of letters, numbers and dashes. Now we need to go back to the ESET program on your computer, just like we opened the ESET at the beginning of this guide, and select Help & Support on left side of the ESET main product window. Click on Change License Click on use a purchased license key. Now you will need to type or paste the license key that was emailed to you and then select Continue. Enter in the key with all letters, numbers and dashes. This will then cause a popup asking to allow ESET to make changes, click on Yes on this message.Now you will see a registration page that will need to be filled out for ESET. There is a scrollbar on the right side. The form will need First name, Last name, Phone, Email, Confirm Email, Address 1 (street address), City, Zip, State. The only 2 options that do not need to be filled out are Company and Address 2. The next window will show that ESET will be activated, select Activate. You should then see "Thank you for activating ESET." Select Done and now ESET has been renewed.
