If you are still needing to use Internet Explorer, you may notice it wants to open certain sites within Microsoft Edge, which is the successor to Internet Explorer. If you don't want Internet Explorer to do this, there is a setting that can be adjusted in Microsoft Edge that can be enabled or disabled. Here is how to change this setting:1. To begin, open the Microsoft Edge browser on your PC. If you do not have a Desktop shortcut or pin for this on your taskbar, click on the Start icon, typically found at the lower left corner of the screen. Look for Microsoft Edge from the list of applications and click on it to open up the browser. 2. Click on the three dots at the top right of the Microsoft Edge browser window. From the drop-down list of options, click on Settings. 3. On the Settings window, click on the three lines next to "Settings" 4. From the list of Settings, click on Default browser. 5. From the default browser page, select the drop-down next to "Let Internet Explorer open sites in Microsoft Edge", by default it will be set to Incompatible sites only. If you would like to disable this, change the setting to Never. Any changes are made automatically and this setting may be reverted/changed at any time.
